Taxi to the Dead Sea from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem
Down from the hills or across the desert, straight to the hotel at the lowest place on earth.
From Jerusalem the Dead Sea is close: about 80 km to Ein Gedi and about 110 km to the hotel area at Ein Bokek, down Road 1 and along Road 90 by the shore. From Tel Aviv it is about 165 km to Ein Bokek, usually via Road 6 and Road 31 through Arad. We drive you to the hotel door, to Masada or to Ein Gedi, at a fixed price agreed before you go.

Where at the Dead Sea
- Ein Bokek
The main hotel area on the southern shore, with most of the Dead Sea hotels and public beaches. Give us the hotel name and the driver takes you to its entrance.
- Masada
The desert fortress above the shore. The main visitor entrance and cable car are on the Road 90 side.
- Ein Gedi
The nature reserve with its springs and the kibbutz next to it, north of Masada.
Hotel stay or day trip
For a hotel stay, book the ride there and the ride back as two trips with their dates. For a day trip, tell us the full plan: where you want to stop, for how long, and when you want to head back. Stops and waiting change the price, so with the whole plan in hand we give you one fixed price that covers it.
Families and groups with luggage for a few nights often need more space; a large taxi takes everyone together, and child seats for every age come with the car.
From Tel Aviv: the Road 6 question
The usual route from Tel Aviv runs south on Road 6, the cross-Israel toll highway, and then east on Road 31 through Arad before dropping to the shore. On a metered ride, a fixed Road 6 supplement is added when the ride uses the road at the passenger’s request. When we give you a fixed price, we tell you whether it includes the toll, and you can ask for a route that avoids toll roads. Can you take us from Ben Gurion Airport straight to the Dead Sea?
Yes. Book with your flight number; the driver follows the flight and contacts you after landing. Our Ben Gurion Airport taxi page explains the pickup.
Can we stop at Masada on the way to the hotel?
Yes. Add the stop and how long you plan to stay when you book, and it is included in the fixed price we agree.
Is the route from Tel Aviv a toll route?
The usual route uses Road 6, which is a toll road. When we give you the fixed price, we tell you whether it includes the toll.
Can you pick us up from the hotel on Saturday?
Only after Shabbat ends on Saturday night. During Shabbat we do not drive; Sunday works too.
