Haifa Port taxi for cruise passengers

A taxi from Haifa Port takes cruise passengers from the terminal to Tel Aviv, about 92 km south, to Jerusalem, about 150 km, or to Ben Gurion Airport (TLV), about 110 km, and back to the ship on embarkation day. The terminal is at Gate 5 in downtown Haifa and is reached on foot over a bridge from HaAtzmaut Street, so the driver agrees the meeting point with you by phone or WhatsApp. Send the ship’s name and date, and Bazman Taxi agrees a fixed price before the ride.
Where the cruise terminal is and how you leave it
Cruise passengers use the passenger terminal at Gate 5 of Haifa Port, in downtown Haifa. According to Haifa Port’s directions page (opens in a new tab), access is on foot only, over an entry bridge that begins at 65 HaAtzmaut Street. The bridge also leads to Haifa Merkaz–HaShmona railway station, and a lift links the station level and the car parks with the terminal level.
Vehicles are not allowed onto the bridge, so you cover the stretch between the street and the terminal doors on foot, with your bags. When you book, we note the ship and the day. On the day itself the driver contacts you by phone or WhatsApp, and you agree where to meet.
The port recommends coming by train, since the station is right next to the terminal. That suits light travellers staying near a station. With cruise-sized suitcases, small children, a group, or a hotel far from the railway, a taxi from the terminal to your door is simpler.
Distances from the port
Road distances from downtown Haifa. Road 6 and the Carmel Tunnels charge tolls, and a taxi uses them at the passenger’s request. When we give you the fixed price, we tell you whether it includes a toll, and you can ask for a route without toll roads.

Booking a pickup for the day you dock
Cruise timetables shift, so the booking starts from the ship’s details and we adjust it with you as the day approaches.
- Send the ship and the date
The ship’s name, the docking date and the disembarkation time your cruise line gives you. The port’s cruise schedule (opens in a new tab) lists each ship’s arrival and sailing times and warns that they can change; your own time off the ship comes from the cruise line.
- Tell us who is travelling
How many of you there are, how many large suitcases and how many trolley bags. After a long cruise, the luggage can decide the vehicle more than the head count does.
- Give the drop-off address
A hotel, an apartment, or the airport with your flight number. If you want a stop on the way, add it now, because a stop changes the price.
- Stay reachable as you leave the ship
Keep WhatsApp on, over the ship’s Wi-Fi or once your phone connects to an Israeli network. The driver messages you, and you agree where to meet.
Getting back to the ship on embarkation day
Haifa Port lets boarding passengers into the terminal (opens in a new tab) only within the time frame their cruise line gave them, and its Hebrew page adds that there is no need to come early. So we plan the pickup from your check-in slot, not from the sailing time. Send us the slot, the pickup address and the number of bags, and we agree the pickup time with you.
Inside, the order is security screening and baggage check-in, then the boarding pass, then passport control and the departure hall. Keep the documents your cruise line asked for in your hand luggage.

Tell us how many large cases and trolley bags you have, and we send a station wagon or a larger vehicle so the bags travel with you.
- A family or friends off the same ship
A large taxi can keep everyone and the luggage in one vehicle. Dispatch agrees the vehicle with you by phone or WhatsApp.

Questions and answers
Can the taxi pull up at the cruise terminal doors?
No. Vehicles are not allowed onto the pedestrian bridge that leads to the terminal from HaAtzmaut Street, so you cross it on foot. The driver agrees the exact meeting point with you by phone or WhatsApp.
What if the ship is late or disembarkation is slow?
Send us any new time the cruise line announces. On the day, the driver stays in touch by phone or WhatsApp, and you agree the meeting once you are off the ship.
Can you collect us if the ship docks at night?
Yes, from Sunday to Friday. We work 24 hours a day and close only for Shabbat and the Jewish holidays, so a weekday night pickup at the port is fine; send the disembarkation time your cruise line gives you.
Can we go straight from the ship to a flight at Ben Gurion?
Yes. Send the flight number with the docking details, and we plan the pickup around the airport’s 3-hour advice. The flight number also tells the driver which terminal to go to; our Ben Gurion Terminal 1 guide explains which flights leave from there.
Can we stop in Caesarea on the way south?
Yes. Add the stop, and how long you plan to stay, when you book. A stop changes the price, so include it from the start and the fixed price covers it.
Can you take us to the ship from Jerusalem or from the airport?
Yes. Send your check-in slot and the pickup address, or your flight number if you are coming from the airport, and we work back from the slot to set the pickup time.
Our cruise calls at Ashdod rather than Haifa. Can you help there?
