Pricing Policy — How Every Fare Is Really Built
A taxi fare should never be a mystery. In Israel the fare is set by the meter, per the government tariff — so instead of promising you a magic number, we do something more useful: we show you exactly how the meter will build your fare, before you ride.
The official tariff is the only baseline
Every estimate we give is derived from the Ministry of Transport tariff order (effective April 1, 2026): base charge, simultaneous distance+time metering at tariff A/B/C, the long-distance surcharge beyond 10 km, and the legally defined extras (booking, airport, toll roads). Note that the luggage and third/fourth-passenger supplements were abolished — charging them is not allowed. See the full numbers on our prices page and calculator.
Why an estimate range and not one number?
Because that is the honest answer. The meter charges for distance AND time simultaneously, so the same route costs a little more in traffic and a little less on an empty road. We show you the realistic range for your route and hour, with the full component breakdown — and the meter sets the final fare. If anything about the trip changes, you will hear it from us before the ride, never after.

The disclaimer that protects you
The fares shown across this site are estimates only, based on distance, travel time and the official Ministry of Transport tariff. The final fare is set by the meter and may vary with the time of day, traffic, the actual route, luggage and authorized supplements. Any company promising you otherwise is promising something the meter does not.
