A taxi between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv covers roughly 65 to 70 km between the city centres, most of it on Road 1. We drive door to door in either direction, from a Tel Aviv beach hotel to the Old City gates, or from a Jerusalem neighbourhood to an office tower beside the Ayalon, at a fixed price agreed before the ride. The station keeps Shabbat, so Friday trips finish before it begins.
The route between the two cities
Road 1 links the two cities. In Tel Aviv it meets the Ayalon Highway; in Jerusalem it climbs through the Judean Hills and arrives at the city entrance by the Chords Bridge. We measured roughly 65 to 70 km between the city centres on 15 October 2026, depending on the exact streets at each end.

Can we stop at the Western Wall on the way to our Jerusalem hotel?
Yes. Add the stop, and how long you plan to stay, when you book. The driver drops you near Dung Gate and continues to the hotel afterwards; the stop and the waiting are part of the price we agree.
Is the price fixed in both directions?
Yes. Whether you start in Jerusalem or in Tel Aviv, the price is agreed before the ride and stays as long as the route, stops and waiting stay as agreed.
