Taxi to Eilat from Ben Gurion Airport and Tel Aviv

A taxi from Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) to Eilat covers about 330 km, usually south on Road 6, across the Negev on Road 40 through Mitzpe Ramon and the Ramon Crater, and down Road 90 for the last stretch to the Red Sea. From Tel Aviv it is about 336 km. The Bazman Taxi driver follows your flight and takes you to a hotel on North Beach or Coral Beach, or to any address in town, at a price fixed before you travel.

Over the crater or down the Arava
Most rides leave the airport on Road 1, pick up Road 6 heading south and carry on along Road 40, which skirts Beersheba to the east. Road 40 crosses the Negev highlands to Mitzpe Ramon, on the rim of the Ramon Crater, winds down into the crater and runs on through the desert to Ketura Junction. There it meets Road 90, about 50 km north of Eilat. The other way turns off onto Road 25 towards Dimona, drops into the Arava valley and stays on Road 90 for the rest of the trip, which adds roughly 10 km. The driver chooses between them on the day, depending on roadworks and traffic. If you want one in particular, say so in the booking.
Road 6 is a toll road. On a metered ride, the official taxi price order adds a fixed supplement when the ride uses it at the passenger’s request. When we give you a fixed price for Eilat, we tell you whether the toll is in it, and you can ask for a route that stays off toll roads.
Where in Eilat we drop you
Send the hotel name, or the full address for an apartment, and the driver takes you to the entrance.
- North Beach
The main hotel area, lined up along the seafront promenade at the northern tip of the Gulf of Eilat.
- Coral Beach
The southern coast, about 7 km down Road 90 towards the Egyptian border, with hotels near the Coral Beach Nature Reserve and the Coral World Underwater Observatory.
- Apartments and guesthouses in town
Write the street, the building number and which entrance to use, so the driver does not have to search on arrival.
- The Taba border crossing
The Menachem Begin crossing to Taba in Egypt sits at the far southern end of the city, past Coral Beach, and we drive you to its Israeli terminal. Flying to Eilat instead
The other way down is a domestic flight to Ramon Airport, which lies in the Timna Valley about 20 km north of Eilat. Since 28 June 2026, flights between Ben Gurion and Ramon have used Terminal 1. If you travel light, that can work well. If you land at Terminal 3 on an international flight with children, a group or a lot of luggage, the flight means moving to Terminal 1, checking in again and finding a ride from Ramon at the far end. What to send before a long ride south
- Your flight number
The driver tracks the landing and calls or messages you on WhatsApp to arrange where to meet. The Ben Gurion arrival guide explains the walk from the plane to the exit.
- Who is travelling and what you carry
The number of passengers, large suitcases and trolley cases, plus dive gear, bikes or a stroller. We match the vehicle to that list, from a regular taxi to a large taxi, a minibus or a coach.
- The children’s ages
We have child seats for every age. Write each child’s age in the booking so the right seats are in the car.
- Any stops
A break at Mitzpe Ramon or a petrol station goes into the booking along with how long you want to stop. A long stop changes the price, so plan it in advance.

How much is a taxi from Ben Gurion Airport to Eilat?
For a trip of about 330 km we agree one fixed price before you travel, based on the date, the vehicle your group and luggage need, and any stop at Mitzpe Ramon. Can the driver collect us at Terminal 3 and head straight for Eilat?
Yes. Book with your flight number. The driver follows the landing and contacts you by phone or WhatsApp to arrange the meeting point.
Can we stop at the Ramon Crater on the way?
Yes, when the ride takes Road 40, which passes Mitzpe Ramon on the crater rim. Add the stop and how long you want to stay when you book, so it is part of the agreed price.
We are starting in Jerusalem. Which way do you go?

Do you also drive from Eilat to Ben Gurion Airport?
Yes. Send the hotel, the flight time and the luggage. The Israel Airports Authority asks passengers to arrive three hours before an international flight, and we set the pickup in Eilat around that. For a Saturday-night flight, the earliest pickup is after Shabbat ends in Eilat, so check the timing before you book the flight.
Can you take us to the Taba border crossing?
Yes, to the Israeli terminal of the Menachem Begin crossing at the southern end of Eilat. Check the crossing’s notices and the travel warnings for Sinai before you set off.
